Program Profile
The World Bank-Urban Unit has entrusted CEIS (Center for International
Studies on Economic Growth), of the Faculty of Economics at Tor Vergata
University, with the implementation of a distance learning program on
Cultural Heritage and Sustainable Development. The Centre for
International Studies on Economic Growth (CEIS-Tor Vergata) was
established in 1987, in the School of Economics at the University of Rome
‘Tor Vergata’. It is engaged in international research and higher learning
networking in the major fields of economics. Its research agenda
continuously changes to reflect new economic phenomena and new projects with
other research centres of excellence and individual scholars.
The learning program is based on an existing Master in
Economics and Management of Cultural Goods, developed at the Faculty of
Economics at Tor Vergata University in 2000.
The purpose of the program is the dissemination of information and knowledge
of how management of cultural goods can create sustainable development in
developing countries.
